Welcome to the Letting Protection Service Scotland

All private landlords and letting agents taking tenancy deposits in Scotland are required to safeguard them with a Government approved tenancy deposit protection scheme. The Letting Protection Service Scotland is free to use for all landlords, letting agents and tenants.

What's New?

Deposit protection deadline: 15th May

All qualifying deposits, including those taken before 7th March 2011, have to be protected by 15th May 2013.

New Users

Landlords and letting agents can register for an online account and start submitting deposits to be protected by The Letting Protection Service Scotland.

If you've already registered by telephone, you can add online access to your account here.

Existing Users

Landlords and letting agents can access their online accounts using the link below.

Tenants who have received a Deposit ID number can use this to access their tenancy details.
